Hi, my name is Shraddha.

I'm a Counselling Psychologist and Psychotherapist trained at Columbia University, New York. Currently, I run my private practice in Mumbai, India. I work with humans across the globe to bring out the best in them.

During my training,

we were asked to scrape off our virtual presence to ensure we were portraying a "responsible" image on the internet. The US Ethical guidelines required us to be "professional" allowing only clinically indicated therapist self-disclosure. As someone who loves expressing myself through words, art, and poetry; this seemed revolting.

Currently, I am critiquing the Western ways of doing therapy. My work gives me the rare opportunity to be a vessel that holds myriad stories of a broad spectrum of people. It's deeply intimate work. It's so delicate yet powerful. It's so vulnerable yet strong. A part of me wants to make this vessel available for anyone else who might benefit from these stories. Of course, I think confidentiality is crucial. However, I sincerely believe that it should not prevent people from taking inspiration, wisdom, and/or solidarity from others' suffering and liberation.

So, this website is my honest endeavour to capture and document what I witness, and how that changes me, makes me, and liberates me. Welcome!
